Day 6

Today we went to Toledo. We had a tour guide named Carlos. He was the best guide we’ve had. We walked around Toledo and walked across Saint Martin’s Bridge. It is one of the oldest bridges in Toledo. We went to a Cathedral. We also saw the Burial or Count Orgaz by El Greco. We then went to a sword factory. Tess and I got rings and Lewis got a 90€ sword. We went to Madrid for lunch. Then we went on a bus tour of Madrid, most of us fell asleep. Then we went to the Reina Sofia Museum. We saw lots of Picasso works, including the Guernica. Then we went to La Casa de Las Torrijas for dinner. Then we got an hour of free time and Gill and I tried bubble tea. Gill got strawberry mimosa and I got pink lemonade. We finally got to the hotel around 8:30. Dom, Lewis, Sky, Matt, Noah, Tess, Gill, and I decided to get rid of all of our euros. We went downstairs and got a lot of food.

Day 5

It’s our first day in Madrid. We went to El Retiro Park and walked around for a while. Then we went on row boats. We saw friends from Twin Valley and we tried to race the boys. Unfortunately, we lost. But Tess did very well. We then went to the Prado museum. There was a very long line. We finally got into the museum and looked around. I thought it was boring. We all got very hangry and we finally got lunch at 1:30. Sky didn’t want about half of her paella but the server wouldn’t take her plate back. So Gill ate the rest of it. Then we went to Flaminco dancing. We weren’t very good at it. Then we went to get dinner. Tess, Gill, Sky and I got empanadas from a market. Then when we got back to the hotel we tried to make a human pyramid.

Day 4

Today we are traveling from Barcelona to Madrid. We stopped in Zaragoza for lunch. We met up with an old exchange student, Juan. Juan took us to a good restaurant where we had a buffet. I tried bread crumbs with eggs, ham, and grapes. It was surprisingly very good. We had to get back on the bus after an hour so we are very bored of sitting on the bus. We finally got to our hotel in Madrid around 7. We had dinner, which was ham, salad, and potatoes. Then we went to our rooms and tried lots of new food we got at the gas station. Some was weird but the Kinder Buenos was good. This was the view from the bus for most of the trip.

Tess, Sky, Amiah, and I walked around to little street stores. We got jewelry and socks. After that we met up with Dom, Lewis, Matt, Noah, and Gill. We got churros with chocolate which were pretty good. We then went to a buffet for dinner which was kinda crappy American food. After that we went to the hotel and hung out until 11.

Day 1

Yesterday we were in Spain for the first day. We didn’t sleep for about 34 hours. The plane was very long and boring. We walked about 11 miles yesterday. We had tapas for dinner but we were still hungry so gill and I ordered food at the hotel. We also went to a sketchy park but it was fun. Today we are going to la Sagrada Familia and we are going on the Metro for the first time.
